Always working hard for scholarship opportunities, Mrs. Carlton has found these for our High School students. Even our Sophomores and Freshmen can apply to some of these. Please take time to look them over and APPLY ASAP as deadlines are soon. She JUST found them.

Today's Cross Country Meet at Steelville starting time has been moved to 5:00 p.m. due to the heat. We will leave Crocker at 2:45.

Mark your calendar 📅 We are excited for our 1st playgroup of the year this Friday 11am-12pm! Come hangout out with us at the Crocker Public Library for some apple tasting 🍎 🍏 and a fun nature scavenger hunt 🍂

What a great day for Crocker Junior High basketball! 🏀🦁 All of our students had the opportunity to attend today’s games and cheer on the Lions and Lady Lions. Although our teams fell to the Bulldogs, the stands were electric and our students showed plenty of Lion pride! 💙🤍 We love the small school feeling of bringing our entire Lion family together for events like this. Thank you to everyone who helped make today such a great experience!

🦷 COMC Dental Bus Update! 🦁

Due to a missing piece of paperwork in the original packets, the COMC Dental Bus dates have been changed to September 23rd & 24th.

Completed packets can still be returned to Nurse Krista through September 21st. Once your packet is received, the additional required paper will be sent home with your child to be completed and returned.

COMC will be at Crocker Schools on Tuesday, September 22nd from 3:30–6:00 PM for sports physicals in Nurse Krista's office!

⚠️ This is the LAST opportunity at school to get a physical for the 2026–2027 school year!

🎺 REMINDER: Any band student who plans to march must also have a current physical!

Today, Mrs. Dodd taught our students about Welles Crowther, a true hero of September 11, 2001. Welles was working in the South Tower of the World Trade Center when the attacks occurred. Rather than focusing only on his own safety, Welles helped guide others to safety and returned to help people who were still trapped. Welles became known as “The Man in the Red Bandana” because he wore a red bandana over his face to protect himself from smoke. Survivors remembered his courage and kindness as he helped others escape the building. Each student received a donated red bandana, representing courage, compassion, and service. During a ceremony on September 8, 2026, where President Donald Trump posthumously awarded Welles Crowther the Presidential Medal of Freedom, Welles’s mother, Alison Crowther, shared a powerful message about the meaning behind the red bandana: “In moments when others need us, each of us has the power to choose courage, compassion, and service. That’s the real meaning of the red bandana—to be courageous, to find the good, and to be the good.” As our students wear their red bandanas, we hope they remember Welles Crowther’s example and understand that being a hero doesn’t always mean doing something extraordinary—it can mean choosing to help, choosing kindness, and choosing to do what is right when someone needs you.

Next Tuesday's soccer game against Iberia has moved to Iberia. This is due to necessary field maintenance at the park. Start time will be 5:00 p.m. The game on the 29th of October will be in Crocker.

The Softball game today at Climax Springs has been RESCHEDULED for September 22nd. Their field is TOO WET (imagine that!) to play on today.

This is a temporary one day change to ensure smooth pickup and less congestion for our families.

The dental bus will be at school September 16th–18th to provide convenient dental care for our students right here at school!
